Does this VGA to Video adapter require power?
No. Just plug it in and it will work.

Is a Cat6 cable better than Cat5 cable?
Yes, Cat6 is a better cable and will help at long distances. However, for short distances both cables will perform similarly.

Can audio be sent over this cable?
No, only video signal can be sent using the VGA to Video connector kit. To transmit audio signals, you have to run the 1/8" (3.5mm) jack commonly used for on headphones and computer speakers to the RCA audio on your TV (a common audio interface on TV’s).  If you want a high quality surround sound, you can add a sound card to your computer.

What does VGA stand for?
It is the abbreviation for Video Graphics Adapter.
